An Ancestral Homage to the Ancient Future

Welcome to Black Native Pottery, where tradition and artistry unite to honor the rich heritage of my Diné (Navajo) and Black ancestry. Each piece I create is a story, crafted with intention and rooted in the legacy of my ancestors.

Featured Product

Hand crafted on the Navajo Nation in New Mexico. Each vessel is an embodiment of ancestral wisdom. With clay harvested from New Mexico lands, each vessel is burnished with sacred stones of tourmaline, agate, or quartz, then fired at low temp (Cone- 010), to remain soft enough for etching. African mudcloth motifs are then painted or etched onto the surface.

Forged in fire,
Rooted in ancestry

Made with the traditional, Navajo Horse Hair Firing technique, my pottery carries the spirit of my ancestral lands and the sacred connection between horse and man. This ancient method, combined with the bold, geometric patterns of African mudcloth, creates a unique fusion of cultures that celebrates resilience, beauty, and harmony.
